Key Responsibilities
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks that could impact the organization’s operations, financial health, and strategic goals.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to minimize adverse effects.
- Continuously monitor risk exposure and effectiveness of risk management strategies, making adjustments as needed.
Actuarial Functions:
- Calculate actuarial reserves for various insurance products, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Develop pricing models for insurance products, conduct profit testing, and refine pricing strategies.
- Assess reinsurance needs, develop reinsurance structures, and lead reinsurance negotiations.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Provide actuarial projections and financial analysis to support budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory requirements.
Business Planning and Strategy:
- Contribute to strategic planning sessions in product development, underwriting, and claims management.
- Collaborate in formulating business plans and forecasts to support sustainable growth and profitability.
Risk Management Implementation:
- Lead the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Support and guide junior team members, encouraging their professional growth.
- Lead project teams, ensuring high-quality work products and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Requirements

Experience & Skills:
- At least 8 years of experience in the insurance industry with extensive experience in actuarial functions.
- Expertise in actuarial valuation, pricing, reinsurance management, financial reporting, and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, including team management, project oversight, and client liaison.
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, or related field.
